Studio Santa Croce

Welcome to Studio Santa Croce!
Renovated in 2025 and located in a historical palazzo, the space boasts original beamed ceiling, medieval stone walls and oversize windows facing Via Santa Croce. Studio Santa Croce was renovated with top of the line materials and designer light fixtures. The space is approximately 600 square feet / 55 square meters and provides ample storage with a full pantry, a chest of drawers and a room divider that doubles as a wardrobe. You will be in the heart of the old town, a stone’s throw from all of Lucca’s major sights. Traditional Lucchese cafes, restaurants, and grocery stores are right downstairs, only 1-2 minutes walking distance from the studio. It’s the perfect location to explore our gorgeous town!

We also rent this apartment via AirBNB, where we have a perfect 5-star rating! Rates are better if booked directly with us though.

The apartment is located on the 1st floor (23 steps with a handrail, steps are not steep).

Upon entering the apartment, you’ll be struck by the warm tones of the terracotta floor and the tall beamed ceilings. The comfortable living area offers a new couch (which can also open to sleep an additional adult or 2 young children) and a round dining table. We have a brand-new smart TV, and we’ve installed an Unico A/C system near the sleeping area to keep it cool in the summer (though honestly, you’ll find that’s it’s super comfortable year-round).

The charming kitchenette has original tiles and loads of storage. It is compact but well-furnished, including a 4-burner gas stove, microwave, toaster, and electric kettle. If you’re a coffee drinker, you’re in luck!  We provide a mokapot (the traditional Italian stove top coffee maker) and also a drip coffee machine.

The bathroom is modern and super functional with a large walk-in shower (not easy to find in Italy!), complete with toilet, bidet, and a sink area with drawer storage for your personal items. There is also a large washing machine that offers a drying function as well.

The sleeping area has a brand new queen bed and wardrobe, as well as side tables with individual lamps and AC/USB power right by the bed. There’s also a small desk in case you need to work from home or study. Enjoy our fast wi-fi, get your work done, and get back to enjoying your stay in Lucca!

Apartment Valletta

Welcome to Casa Valletta! This stylish, charming apartment is located in the heart of the city, in a neighborhood that still retains all of its local character. This beautiful home was lovingly decorated and cared for by our friend Eleonora, and now we look forward to offering you this cozy space to use as your home base during your stay in our lovely town.

This great 1-bedroom apartment is perfect for a couple that wants to be within the city walls. From here you are a short 5-minute walk from the Anfiteatro, the city walls, Lucca Italian School, and so much more!

We also rent this apartment via AirBNB, where we have a perfect 5-star rating! Rates are better if booked directly with us though.

The apartment is located on the 2nd floor (42 steps with a handrail, steps are not steep).

Upon entering the apartment, you’ll be struck by the warm tones of the floor and the beamed ceiling, all suffused with natural daylight. The comfortable living area offers a new couch (which can also open to sleep 2 additional guests) and a round dining table. Feel free to browse our books! There is also a TV with an Amazon Firestick. While the living room/kitchen area does not have A/C, the bedroom *does* have A/C. There are screens on all of the windows so that you can have fresh air without being bothered by pesky mosquitos.

Just off of the living room, you’ll find the bright, cozy kitchen. It is compact, but well-stocked and has everything you’ll need to make meals at home during your stay if you’d like. There’s a full-sized fridge and freezer, a 4-burner gas stove with electric oven, a dishwasher, and more. We provide a mokapot (the traditional Italian stove top coffee maker) as well as a drip coffee machine. There’s also a microwave, a toaster oven, and an electric kettle.

Down the hall you’ll find the bathroom with a large walk-in shower (not easy to find in Italy!), complete with toilet, bidet, and a large sink, as well as plenty of shelves for your personal items.

The bedroom has a queen bed and a very large wardrobe, as well as a small work desk. There is a brand-new smart TV mounted on the bedroom wall. As mentioned earlier, the bedroom has A/C and mosquito screens.

Apartment Jacopo

This gorgeous gem of an apartment has an unbeatable location, central to everything but tucked away in a quiet little courtyard. Its elegance is matched by all of the comfort and convenience it offers. It’s the perfect place to call home for a little (or a long) while. Right in the heart of town, you are just a 3-5 minute walk from 3 small grocers, 5 or 6 cafes, the main cathedral, 10 restaurants, and a number of shops. It doesn’t get more central than this!

This top-floor apartment features traditional Tuscan ceilings with exposed wood beams and tiles. The living area, decorated with tasteful antiques, has two armchairs and a couch that converts to a comfortable sofa bed for an additional 2 persons.  From here, you access the charming loft-level master bedroom with queen-sized bed. The living room balcony windows overlook the lovely flower-filled courtyard below and provide a ton of natural light if desired (they also have full shutters to block out light entirely if preferred).

The large, well-equipped kitchen features granite counter tops, a full-sized refrigerator, gas stove top, Bosch electric oven, coffeemaker, electric kettle, toaster, microwave, dishwasher, and dining table. It is fully equipped with cookware and serving utensils, and we provide all of your starter materials like olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and sugar.

The upstairs master bathroom, beautifully decorated in red marble tile, has a wonderful skylight and is equipped with a bathtub/shower, sink, toilet, and bidet. One of its most unique features is a lovely custom countertop, built from cabinets salvaged from an apothecary. A new washing machine is located upstairs in a utility room adjacent to the master bedroom.

The smaller second bedroom offers sleeping for two people in twin beds and has its own private bathroom (the beds can be combined to create a double upon request).  This portion of the apartment can be closed off with a locked door and even has its own entrance if desired, creating two totally separate bedroom quarters.

Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and are furnished with all new 160 thread count 100% cotton linens, your choice of down or synthetic filled duvets, and your choice of synthetic or down pillows.

Guest access
The apartment is independent (not shared with any other units in the building). It has independent heating & A/C, its own washing machine, and access to the elevator shared by the other residents of the building.

As long as you are dressed appropriately and you remember to turn off the heat when you are out for the day, there should be no need to be concerned about gas usage.

The cozy Bartolomeo apartment has an wonderful location directly in the center of town, tucked away in a quiet little courtyard off one of the main streets. You’re close to everything you need, but undisturbed by city noise. It really doesn’t get more central than this; in just a  3-5 minute walk, you’ll find 3 small grocers, 5 or 6 cafes, a number of shops, the main cathedral, and any number of excellent restaurants.

This charming top-floor apartment has a beautiful style that mixes traditional Italian furnishings with modern touches. It features a new smart TV, WiFi, 4-burner gas stove top, electric oven, microwave, drip coffee maker, a toaster, an electric kettle, full-sized refrigerator, new cookware, and all dishes and utensils. If there’s a kitchen appliance that you don’t see listed, feel free to ask us! We also provide all of your starter materials like olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and sugar.

The master bedroom has lovely, tall balcony windows that overlook the interior courtyard (they can also be shuttered as blackout curtains) and provides accommodation for two people with its queen bed and its spacious closet. The second bedroom provides sleeping for two people on two twin beds (which can be joined to form a queen bed upon request), as well as room for two additional people on the cozy loft level with its two twin beds (this area is best for children, as the ceiling is quite low).  This apartment is also just across the hall from the Jacopo apartment, which means that rented together it becomes a suite for 10-12 persons.

Both bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning and are furnished with all new 160 thread count 100% cotton linens, down and / or synthetic filled duvets, and your choice of synthetic or down pillows. The bathrooms are beautifully decorated in red marble tile with skylights and are equipped with a shower and/or bathtub as well as sink, toilet, and bidet.  The washing machine is located near the master bedroom/bathroom.

The building’s enviable location makes it ideal for exploring all that Lucca has to offer. Since it is located in the physical center of the historic center, all of Lucca is no more than a few minutes away on foot. From here you can explore the amazing boutique shops that line Via Santa Croce and nearby Via Fillungo, visit the city’s museums, theaters and concert halls, eat at any of the dozens of excellent local restaurants, and, of course, go for a leisurely stroll on the city’s astonishing (and enormous) city walls. Being flat, Lucca is very bike-friendly and bikes are inexpensive to rent for the day at any of a number of local shops.

Lucca is also the perfect city to explore all of Tuscany. Lucca uniquely combines an important mix of ingredients that we believe you’ll find nowhere else in Tuscany. Its location is perfect for exploration: 30 minutes from the Leaning Tower and Pisa International, 30 minutes from the beaches of Viareggio, 45 minutes from the mountains, 75 minutes by train to Florence, and an easy 1-2 hour drive to Siena, Volterra, and the rest of Tuscany.

This large, sunny apartment is located in a wonderfully-maintained historic building that dates back 7 centuries. It has been recently remodeled in a beautiful, traditional Tuscan style that has been updated with modern touches. The apartment has two large sitting areas, an office space, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and 2 sleeper sofas. It sleeps 6 people comfortably. The apartment is right in the city center, so you are close to everything Lucca has to offer!

Since you are in the heart of Lucca, you’re just a 1-minute walk from 3 small grocers, and only a 2-minute stroll from 5 or 6 cafes, the main cathedral, 10 restaurants, and a number of shops. It doesn’t get more central than this!

The kitchen is fully-equipped with a full-sized refrigerator/freezer, 4-burner gas stove top, oven, coffeemaker, microwave, and dining table, as well as brand-new cookware and serving utensils. There is a dishwasher, a washing machine, a new LG smart TV, and if there’s something that you need that you don’t see listed here, just ask us and we’ll see what we can do.  We also provide you with starter amounts of the basics like local olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, coffee, tea, and sugar.

The master bedroom has a new bed and a giant closet with full-length mirrors. The ensuite master bathroom is beautifully decorated in marble tile and is equipped with a bathtub + shower, sink, toilet, and bidet.

The second bedroom offers sleeping for two people in twin beds and has its own ensuite bathroom complete with shower, toilet, sink, and bidet. The beds can also be combined to create a queen bed upon request.

The living areas each have a sleeper sofa; one is a queen-sized sleeper sofa, the other is smaller and better suited to one adult or 2 children, plus there is an additional full bathroom, complete with shower, located in the common area.

The bedrooms and living areas are equipped with air conditioning. The bedrooms have new mattresses and new pillows and are furnished with all new 160 thread count 100% cotton linens, your choice of down or synthetic filled duvets, and your choice of synthetic or down pillows.

You are only a 6-8 minute walk from the train station or the bus station that will take you to Pisa, Viareggio, Firenze, Cinque Terre, and all over Tuscany and the Garfagnana.

This apartment is located in a lovely historic building that dates back 7 centuries. It has been recently updated in a beautiful style of traditional and antique Italian furnishings updated with modern touches.

The apartment has an unbeatable location directly in the center of town. You’re right in the heart of everything, yet the apartment is very quiet and peaceful. There are no neighbors on any side of you, and the street below is pedestrian only, which means that it is very quiet at night (no noisy buses or scooters!).

Since you are right in the center of town, you are steps away from 3 small grocers, 5 or 6 cafes, the main cathedral, 10 restaurants, and Via Fillungo, the shopping paradise of Lucca. It doesn’t get more central than this!

The apartment is spacious and full of light. The living area has a big comfortable couch and armchair, a new smart TV, and a laptop-friendly office area.

The dining area leads onto the beautiful terrace, which is equipped with a table and chairs. There is a washing machine in the utility room out on the terrace as well.  Kick back with a book or a glass of Lucca’s wonderful local wines after a long day of sight-seeing!

The kitchen features stainless steel counter tops, a refrigerator, 4-burner gas stove top, an electric oven, coffeemaker, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, blender, hand mixer, and more.
